I know, I turned tail and ran and in the middle of a Octoberganza, no less. Yeah, I know that's not what I called it before--I haven't been gone that long. S.O.S, the so October Special...Of course, that's wrong... I was just testing you.
Anyway...
It was preety bad.; when the going got tough, I sure enough got going. But I was overwhelmed guys.
But I'm back today and hope you except me back with open arms. On Halloween it is always better to forgive than receive lest some nasty thing slithers from the dark and receive your very heart from your chest cavity. Oh, Halloween, what a joyous day.
Speaking of, what are you doing for the holiday? Trick-or-treating? Haunted house? Halloween party?
I'm doing none of the above. Old people shouldn' t trick or treat unless they have kids. I don't have any parties to go to and it's just a no to the haunted houses. (I've actually never been to one and so wish to go one year before I get too old for that too. That is, if you can get too old...is there a cut off age?)
Therefore, I'm on candy duty. Last year we didn't buy candy for the kiddies. It was the saddest thing in the world. A dad was driving his two or three year old son from house to house and I can confidently bet it was his first time trick-or-treating, or at leas something akin to it. I don't remember what kind of costume the kid had on-- my vision was extremely blurry from the guilty tears, since we had to turn them away.
Well, by God, there will be no disappointment at this house this year for any other babies' first Halloween. We got the Snickers, Twix, etc., the Starburst and LaffyTaffy, unfortunately we aren't the house with the truly fun regular sized candy bars and candy. Baby steps, though. Maybe next year.
That's going to be my Halloween. Ding-Dong. Trick or Treat! TOSS... See, I remembered.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
